Holiday Inn Express Hartford South - Rocky Hill by IHG

Great customer service! Chris, the front desk manager and other staff was friendly and attentive. Room was clean and housekeeping service was provided everyday. Breakfast was not our favorite but still ok. Would definitely return.

I think this hotel could easily be a 5 star location. It’s nothing that management can address but the walls are super thin and I spent the majority of my evening listening to the little one next door. It didn’t bother me as much as it make me more aware of how thin they were. Also, I think the AC’s could be upgraded at this location though it did work - it just felt as if it were struggling to keep it cold throughout the night. I also notice that this location also doesn’t have zipped up mattress protectors which I would love to see in ALL hotels across the country. Just 1 more added level of protection against the dreaded bed bug. Now, what I really loved about this location is the blackout shades - they work fantastic! I’m also 100% on board with hotels designing sinks outside of the bathroom. It just makes so much more sense! I do think this location had a fantastic interior designer. The colors are fantastic and the wallpaper chosen is great! I took a short video of the doors in the hallway - super cute! C-L-E-A-N Always appreciate a clean room! Housekeeping is definitely commended for their work here. They offer a full breakfast bar but seating seemed rather cramped. I did love seeing freshly ground coffee in this hotel as well. I didn’t try it to see if it was the same as the last location but I would love to see local coffee being offered in each location that way we get a more unique experience of local brewers in the area. Just a thought, Holiday Inn! :) I enjoyed my stay very much and when I’m back in the area in a few weeks I will definitely make my way here again. Looking forward to trying one of those delicious smelling cinnamon rolls they had out. I skipped it today so I wouldn’t be wearing it to my meeting.

We just checked out of the Holiday Inn Express after living there for approximately a month due to our being displaced by my apartment complex (Concierge Apartments). The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the service is excellent! The manager, Andrew, truly went above and beyond for us and made an awful situation feel significantly easier. We cannot thank you all enough. I have since started recommending it to my coworkers and friends who have people visiting them in town, and to my family when they come to stay. We lived here for a month and never had a bad experience, you will have an excellent experience coming here!

Was here on Business and HIE,didn't disappoint me. Breakfast was minimal but well staffed. Rooms were updated, but had an issue with water pressure in the shower. Overall good value.

Easy on/off from the highway, and very quiet. Awesome staff. I’ve personally grown weary of the IHG breakfast, but it is always decent. Rooms are well maintained. Zero complaints.

I was absolutely blown away at the staff at this hotel. We stayed one night for my daughter’s cheer comp. I was looking for a place near the convention center that was clean and comfortable. We showed up early due to the competition time and were so pleased that our room was ready upon our arrival. Each employee was kind and helpful. You can tell they take guest satisfaction serious. I read some of these reviews and am shocked there was anything negative to say. It was an affordable place to stay so I was honestly a bit worried and I was so very pleased with my stay. Thank you very much for surpassing my expectations and beating an affordable, clean and comfortable option.

The staff were great, very helpful and nice. The manager on the afternoon that I checked in, was very pleasant and able to answer any questions. The maintenance/house keepers were able to deal with some minor issues immediately. There are restaurants and a liquor store in a short walking distance. The pool is much smaller than the pictures lead on but it's not a problem.

Surprisingly, the hotel is very cozy with new furniture! Large rooms with a microwave, refrigerator, and king-size bed. The reception staff is very pleasant during the day, but at night, the elderly woman at the desk acted very strangely, calling me at 2 a.m. to ask if I had paid the deposit.
